Wedding Guide 

Our wedding guide will give you an overview of the general procedures for a wedding in Crete. Of course we are available at any time to answer questions and accommodate any requests you may have.

Before your wedding day

1. Upon your confirmation we will send you an email with all details and prices for the requested services. Furthermore we will send you a deposit invoice for 20% which is based on the booked services. The deposit is non-refundable.

2. The wedding date and location will be booked as soon as funds have cleared our bank account. You will then receive a receipt and a detailed record of the necessary current Greek legal documentation requirements.

3. We need you to send us the (translated) documents (a copy by fax or email) 6 weeks prior to arrival in order to check them with the registrar. Should you authorize Moments to translate your documents, we need the originals (copies are not sufficient) 6 weeks prior to arrival.

4. After receiving the second payment (70%, 6 weeks prior to your arrival), we will arrange the pre-wedding meeting no later than 3 days after your arrival. The meeting lasts approx. 1 hour. During the meeting we go through all the arrangements of your wedding and resolve any further queries.

Your wedding day

Our wedding co-ordinators will carry out all the necessary behind the scenes functions and arrangements during the day. For any last minute requests, you can reach us 24hours a day. One of our co-ordinators will accompany you on your wedding day to all appointments.

After the wedding day

Depending on the wedding venue, 1-2 weekdays after the wedding our assistant will accompany you to the registrar’s office in order to sign final documents. If the marriage certificate is not  ready by the time of your departure, the original or the translated version together with original (depending on booking) will be sent to your home address by courier.
